Senior Engineer · covers 4 of 5 must-haves

How it works

Three steps. No forms.

  1. 01

    Add your CV once.

Drop your CV, and your LinkedIn PDF if you like. Every role and achievement becomes a record that quotes where it came from.

  2. 02

    Give it a job.

Paste the advert, or drop a screenshot, PDF or Word file. See each requirement marked strong, weak or missing.

  3. 03

    Apply with proof.

Get a CV and cover letter for that job, approve them, then send a link or a PDF and track what happens.

Built a search service over clinical guidance · release

  • On-call and incident ownership Strong

Honest fit

See where you stand before you apply.

Each requirement in the advert is marked strong, weak or missing, with the records behind it, and the job gets a fit score from the must-haves you meet.

The job's terms are checked against what you want: work mode, pay, permanent or contract. Skip the jobs that don't fit; spend your time on the ones that do.

Receipts, not rewriting

Every line points back to something you did.

cv0 builds each CV from your own records and keeps the source for every line: the line of your CV, or the LinkedIn entry, it came from.

Where it rewords a line to fit the job, the line is marked until you approve it. Nothing reaches a recruiter that you haven't approved. Gaps stay gaps.

FROM YOUR CV · LINE 18 Led pricing & packaging project (3 tiers) with Finance and Sales.

reworded for this job

ON THE CV · NOT APPROVED YET Reworked pricing and packaging into three tiers, working with the finance and sales leads.
Example. Try it: nothing reaches a CV until you approve it.

Ward Manager, Band 7 · Example NHS Trust · supporting statement

Experience leading a clinical team

On night shifts I coordinate a team of eight nurses and healthcare assistants, allocating patients by acuity and skill mix and handing over to the day team.

Cites: Original CV, line 13

Managing change on a ward

I led our ward’s move to electronic observations, training 32 staff over six weeks so that no shift ran without someone who could support the new system.

Cites: Original CV, line 11

Not answered: Leadership qualification. No record, so nothing was written.

Letters

A cover letter that answers the advert.

Write a short cover letter, or a supporting statement with one paragraph per requirement, headed with the advert's own wording. Each paragraph cites the records it rests on. Requirements you can't answer are listed, not filled in.

Supporting statements suit NHS, Civil Service, teaching and charity applications that score you against a person specification.

Sharing

One link per job. Know when it's opened.

Share an approved CV as a private link or a PDF. Each job's CV gets its own link, so an open tells you that link was looked at: when, roughly where, and on what device. Never who.

Editing a CV starts a new version; the old link keeps showing what you sent.

Tracking

Tracking that doesn't lie.

  • Silence isn't rejection. Nothing moves to Rejected unless you move it.
  • Every figure shows its time window and how many applications it counts.
  • Each application keeps the exact CV you sent.

Funnel

Example · last 90 days · 9 applications

  1. Saved 14 Starting point
  2. Submitted 9 64% of saved
  3. Screen 3 33% of submitted
  4. Interview 1 1 of 3 · too few for a %
  5. Offer 0 0 of 1 · too few for a %

Percentages are hidden when the earlier step has fewer than 5 applications.

Beyond your CV

Bring more proof of your work.

Start with your CV. If you write software, your own coding agent can add merged pull requests, releases and coding-agent sessions: the work you shipped, not what you remember shipping.
