How it works
Your experience in. A CV for each job out. Receipts throughout.
Six parts, each one checkable. Nothing is added to a CV that you can't trace back to something you did.
1 · Your experience
One drop fills it in. You check it once.
Drop your CV, and your LinkedIn profile PDF if you have it. Every role, project, achievement, skill and qualification becomes a record that quotes the line it came from. Roles that appear in both are merged.
Add or fix records by hand at any time. If you write software, commit history and AI coding sessions can back up records too, but they're optional.
Example records for a nurse
2 · The job
Paste the advert. cv0 reads what it asks for.
Paste text, or drop a screenshot, PDF or Word file. cv0 pulls out the must-haves, nice-to-haves and terms: location, work mode and pay. Anything it can't find is said plainly, not guessed.
cv0 links the job to the company and keeps a page on it you can reuse for later jobs: its Companies House record, and research that quotes its sources.
3 · The fit
Strong, weak or missing. Nothing in between.
Each requirement is matched against your records and marked strong, weak or missing, with the records that support it. A missing requirement stays off the CV.
The job gets a fit score from its must-haves: a strong match counts in full, a weak one counts half.
The job's terms are checked against your preferences: work mode, salary floor or day rate, permanent or contract.
Ward Manager, Band 7 · Example NHS Trust
Covers 3 of 4 must-haves
fit 632 strong · 1 weak · 1 missing.
Must-have
-
Experience leading a clinical team Strong
Coordinate a team of eight nurses and healthcare assistants
-
Band 6 or above for two years Strong
Band 6 since 2019
-
Managing a ward budget Weak
Rota and stock only. Stated as is.
-
Leadership qualification Missing
No record. Left off the CV.
4 · The tailored CV
Chosen from your records. Reworded only with your say-so.
cv0 picks the records that cover the job and orders them for it. Where it rewords a line to fit, the line is marked until you compare it with the original and approve it.
Hover any line to see its receipt. Swap, edit or remove lines yourself.
5 · The letter
A cover letter or supporting statement, from the same records.
Choose a short cover letter, or a supporting statement with one paragraph per requirement, headed with the advert’s own wording. Every paragraph cites the records it rests on and starts unapproved.
Requirements no paragraph answers are listed for you to deal with, not filled in. Export the approved letter as a PDF.
Ward Manager, Band 7 · Example NHS Trust · supporting statement
Experience leading a clinical team
On night shifts I coordinate a team of eight nurses and healthcare assistants, allocating patients by acuity and skill mix and handing over to the day team.
Cites: Original CV, line 13
Managing change on a ward
I led our ward’s move to electronic observations, training 32 staff over six weeks so that no shift ran without someone who could support the new system.
Cites: Original CV, line 11
Not answered: Leadership qualification. No record, so nothing was written.
6 · Approve, share, track
What you approve is what gets shared.
Only an approved CV can be shared, as a link or a PDF. Editing it starts a new draft; the old link keeps showing what you sent.
Shared links show when and where they were opened, never who. Applications move through your pipeline only when you move them. Silence is never counted as a rejection.
